~ Decorating . Flea Market Treasures

I might have posted these two pictures before, but since I came across them today while looking for something else, I thought you would enjoy them. Isn't this wonderful piece? I almost bought it, but I have no place to put it. As difficult as it is, I'm trying not to buy anything that I really have no room for. But it's tough sometimes to pass up a pretty little thing like this.

This table and chair set would be totally practical and fun for a studio/art room. The table would wipe off so easily from any paint spills or whatever. And the chairs would come in handy to not only sit on, but to stack art supplies and books on. Something else I'm trying not to do.

  1. Oooh, that sideboard is so dreamy! I think I'd have to get rid of my couch to have a place to put it, hehe!

  2. Oh, I would love to have room for a wonderful old sideboard, but I am with you. It would have to place to go except in the middle of the room. lol Just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

  4. Love that sideboard! What a versatile piece - entry, living room, den.

It sounds like you could use the table and chairs, though!

  7. Mother had a table and chairs like that, in red and gray. Every time I see one of those chrome sets, it reminds me of hers.

I like the buffet photo. I've been looking at a buffet, with drop leafs. It's a French Provincial style from the 50's, is my guess.Creamy yellow with wire mesh in the doors. It's at one of the shops at the lake. They moved it to the front of the store, when we last visited. It will be gone next time, most likely. I love it!! But I do not have a clue what to do with it. If I had an enclosed porch, it would be great.

  8. I remember having a sideboard like that and cutting off the legs to use it as a tv stand.

Those retro kitchen sets sure do bring back memories.
