~ I'm a Flea Marketeer Blog Party! with Flea Market Style Magazine

I would be much more into flea markets if there were any fabulous ones here like I see from the pictures of California and a few other places. I try so hard not to be too jealous when I see rows and rows of such wonderful things.

Although Renninger's in Mt. Dora has a "flea market" area along with the Antique Market Place, it does not compare. Instead of all the great vintage goods, you will find cheap t-shirts, knock-off handbags, tons for dollar store type junk and a few great little booths with more vintage goods. I have found a few treasures over on that side of the shopping area.

It is quite different during the Extravaganza. There are vendors set up as far as you can see, and it is "flea market" style. And this post reminds me that it is right around the corner!

One of my best and favorite finds came after going to the flea market area for plants and coming back to the main buildings. This beautiful English fireplace mantel.

The start of a faux fireplace.
This is the next post,
come again for the updated pictures.

Now I am in NC not as good, but still good for a pro like me!!!!

Here I hope this helps.....the prices in California are to crazy for flea market prices!!!!

  4. I love the mantel! I looked everywhere for one and finally just built one out of scrap wood and an antique picture frame. Sometime I'll have to post it on my blog. Although I have to admit, I like your mantel a lot better!

  5. Don't be too jealous of the fabulous California flea markets - the problem with the fancy ones with lots of fantastic finds is that they generally have fantastically high price tags attached to them. It's lovely eye candy, I'll admit, but I've found my most amazing, and beloved, goodies, in small undiscovered places.

  6. Fabulous mantel !! I'm always on the look out for good markets here on the east coast {New Jersey}, but I do feel lucky to have some small ones nearby and a ton of thrift stores ... I envy all those year round sunshine filled markets, not much action in the winter here : (

    Thanks for sharing!!
