~ White & Cream

White and cream, colors that dance so harmoniously and beautifully together.
Especially with the wonderful aged patina of the cream.

Removing things from the top of the black chest before painting it.
But taking a moment to appreciate them first.
A very large, vintage rosary.

See Y'All Soon~

  7. Hi Sable

It is a wall rosary. They were usually hung on the wall as a devotional item. I'm not sure
if they were taken down when the family said the rosary or not.

I too purchased mine at an antique store, but they are not all that old.
I've seen them selling for a very wide variety of prices, mostly because people don't know
what they are or when they were made. I saw one listed as French,
but they were made in Italy. They have different markings from different locations they are made.

The material is a resin type substance called alabasterite.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  8. Hey there! We happen to own one exactly like this! Any chance you have found out any info on it? We haven't been able to find anything yet and is the only one we've ever seen, at least until I saw this one.
