"Angel of Star Lights"
I've worked the last couple of days on this for the auction. Yesterday I finally made myself go to the family's site and read it http://iva-and-family.blogspot.com/.
I knew it would be almost more than any mother could take just to read it. But this incredible family is living it, now without one of their children.
When my daugther came home yesterday I wanted to just sit and hug her for an hour like when she was little. But she's 28 and doesn't sit for hugs that last that long anymore. At least I got to hug her for a quick minute.
It's impossible to believe how quickly the time goes by from when they are little to when they are grown. But you still think you have years and years ahead to be with them and love them.
The auction starts this Sunday and will end the following Saturday. If you click on the banner at the top it takes you to the site and it explains how they will do the auction by email.
Thank you to each of you come by giving friendship and kindness. I love hearing from you and visiting you as well.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI will go and check out that auction. Not sure what is about yet, but I will read about it.
My daughter is 26, and I know what you mean.

What a beautiful piece! I read some at the family site ...will go back later and read more. So very sad.
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to donate.
Well I can't even see the keyboard to type with the tears that I am shedding for Brianna, her mom, and her family - and for the beautiful art that you have created in her honor. It is just beautiful Donna.

Donna, this angel is beautiful! I don't know if I can go to the site, I'm still very emotional, from our loss, last year. Perhaps it will help me to read Brianna's story.
ReplyDeleteI recieved my angel while we were at the lake. We stopped the mail, while we were away. I told J, your angel was on it's way and I didn't want to chance it, being in the mailbox!! It's absolutely beautiful! I'll post about it soon! Thanks so much!

Donna,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful angel, it is a fitting tribute to Brianna's memory. It is very evident that you put all your love and care into your piece....
The angels, all together, will be a delight to see, and I am hoping that the auction will be an overwhelming success!
