This vintage style bunny is certainly one of my favorite whimsical goodies for Easter.
He is back on the mantel again this year.

Paint Plastic Eggs, to go with your color scheme.
Yes, the painted egg is the simplest thing ever. Look how easily you can transform one of those oh-so-cheap plastic eggs with a coat of paint. Add a pretty piece of lace and it looks charming.
You can paint the plastic with any paint that covers plastic. The best spray paints to use on plastic are Rust-Oleum Universal and Fusion. Both cover really well. Your colors are a bit limited from a decorating standpoint though. For this project I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It took a bit of work to get it to cover the plastic though.
Make a Moss Ball
I have been making moss covered balls for over 20 years and I just don't get tired of them. They are a pretty way to bring a garden feeling inside, and you can make one very easily.
If you have a styrofoam ball this is perfect, but you can make it without one. To test this theory I made a few without the styrofoam which I usually use. See above picture. :)
Scrunch some paper into a ball shape, and cover it with aluminum foil. The foil is soft enough that you can mold the shape until it is a nice sphere of the size you would like. If you are using the styrofoam or foil, you can use glue to attach your moss. You will need a glue that really has a good grab to it. Fast drying works well for me. Then take some thread the same color as the moss and wrap it around the moss as needed to keep it nicely in place without using too much that it shows a lot.
If you are using a styrofoam ball, you can also use metal florist's pins which are meant for just such projects. This is the same technique for making large balls. Although I have only made those with the very large styofoam balls.
